Sybol brings leadership to Legacy

Legacy Esports has moved to replace its outgoing captain by securing Lachlan ‘Sybol’ Civil.

He is a veteran Oceanic Jungler and brings a wealth of experience and leadership which will help offset the loss of Tim ‘Carbon’ Wendel, who has moved into administrative role with the team. Sybol has been playing League of Legends competitively since 2014 when he joined team Unlimited but most recently featured for Avant Garde. Wendel said Sybol possessed vast knowledge of the game. “We believe he will make a huge impact, not only mechanically as a player, but as a mentor to the less experienced guys in the team,” Wendel said. “It will be exciting to see what he can do from the jungle especially his ability to create space for the team and put pressure on enemy carries throughout the early game.” Sybol is still pending approval from Riot.

Long time OPL jungle sub Leo ‘Babip’ Romer has been accepted on a yet to be announced starting OPL roster. We are glad to see the development of him realised at the top level of domestic competition, while sad that he is leaving the immediate Legacy family. We wish him all the best.
