It was a rough day at the office for the League of Legends team in week seven of the OPL, as Order’s squad hit back at Legacy with a vengeance.
In game one, Only locked in his Pocket pick, Nidalee, and sparks flew in the opening minutes as he turned around a 1v2 by Spookz and Swiffer to secure first blood.
Despite a relatively even early game, it all went horribly wrong at 20 minutes.
After falling out of position to secure a kill on Swiffer, Order pounced on the overextended Legacy line-up and took three kills and baron.
With a team composition centred on picks and poke damage, Legacy suddenly found themselves on the back foot against Orders traditional team fight comp.
With no real way of contesting Order’s push, Legacy was unable to overcome the now accelerated Order and fell in just over 28 minutes.
Only again picked up the Nidalee in game two, but this time he was paired up with Claire’s Irellia and the magic truly happened.
The Mid-Jungle duo secured a kill onto Swiffer’s at six minutes and followed it up with a spectacular double kill onto both Swiffer and Spookz.
Several blow for blow skirmishes followed, but Legacy slowly managed to open up a small gold lead, but sadly it wasn’t enough to overcome Tally’s monstrous performance on Cho ‘Gath.
Order’s Top laner (6/2/5) was able to completely mitigate the strength of Legacy’s diving composition, and a four-man shockwave from Swiffer’s signature Orianna sealed the 2-0 win in favour of Order.
With three weeks remaining in split two, Legacy now needs to win at least two series to have a chance at making the finals Gauntlet.
