OPL Split Two vs. Order – Recap

It was a rough day at the office for the League of Legends team in week seven of the OPL, as Order’s squad hit back at Legacy with a vengeance. In game one, Only locked in his Pocket pick, Nidalee, and sparks flew in the opening minutes as he turned around a 1v2 by Spookz and Swiffer to secure first blood. Despite a relatively even early game, it all went horribly wrong at 20 minutes. After falling out of position to secure a kill on Swiffer, Order pounced on the overextended Legacy line-up and took three kills and baron. With a team composition centred on picks and poke damage, Legacy suddenly found themselves on the back foot against Orders traditional team fight comp. With no real way of contesting Order’s push, Legacy was unable to overcome the now accelerated Order and fell in just over 28 minutes. Only again picked…

Second place at CGPL

Legacy CS:GO has taken home second place in the CyberGamer Pro League 2018 Winter Finals, in a hard-fought series against the Chiefs Esports Club. Played in front of a packed crowd at the Anime and Video Game Convention in Adelaide, Legacy began the campaign up against SYF Gaming. In the qualifying match for the Grand Final, we took on the eventual champions Chiefs ESC and just lost a close game, falling 11-16. Legacy smashed Avant in the losers qualifying match, taking the first game 16-4 and the second 16-2 to advance to the Grand Final. Due to the earlier loss to the Chiefs, the Chiefs started into the Best-of-5 with a 1-0 advantage and as a result the fight was going to be…

OPL Split Two vs. Tectonic – Recap

Legacy’s League of Legends squad managed to ice down red-hot rookies Tectonic in week five of the OPL, despite a rough second game. Game one was a story of two lanes. Bot lane was a fascinating contest between Raid’s Swain and the opposing lover’s duo of Xayah and Rakan, but it was the top lane that stole the show. Mimic, evidently sick of watching Claire get all the glory, picked the first Rumble of split two and ran a train all over Tectonic. Punishing the Papryze’s Gangplank terribly in the early game, Mimic built a CS lead and got first blood at three minutes. Despite a relatively slow early game that took a back seat to Raid’s Swain, Mimic turned on the jets at 30 minutes, catching Sybol alone in the jungle before securing a double kill at baron. The rampaging Top laner then led the charge into Tectonic’s…
