Melbourne Esports Open

Legacy Esports and the Adelaide Football Club welcome the news that Melbourne is set to host one of the largest esports events in Australia.

The Victorian Government, in partnership with TEG live, JB HIFI and ESL, are bringing a huge esports event to Rod Laver and Margaret Court Arenas on 1-2 September.

The Melbourne Esports Open will run across two days in the first weekend of September, and will feature the Overwatch Contenders series grand final, the Oceanic Pro League finals and other smaller tournaments.

Legacy is competing in both the Contenders and OPL series’ and are hoping that our players will qualify for finals and have the chance to compete on stage in front of live crowds.

As the first professional sports club in Australia to invest in esports, the Adelaide Football Club support steps such as this to continue to bring esports into the mainstream.
