Legacy’s CS:GO squad has successfully qualified for the Cyber Gamer Pro League (CGPL) finals, to be played on stage live in Adelaide.
Taking place this weekend, the boys will be playing at the annual Anime and Video Game Convention (AVCon) at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
Entering as the second seed behind the Chiefs Esports Club, Legacy will go head to head with SYF Gaming in the upper bracket semi-final, while Chiefs take on Avant Gaming.
The tournament will be held in a double-elimination format, with all teams fighting for a share of the AUD$15,000 prize pool.
AVCon is anticipated to attract 18,000+ attendees, and technology conference Hybrid World Adelaide will take place alongside AVCon this year. Current ladder leaders Grayhound Gaming have been listed as disqualified and will not attend.
Hybrid World is also set to feature the High School Esports League, which is also owned and run by the Adelaide Football Club, and their Rocket League finals.
Legacy’s very own Delusion is competing for Unley High School in the finals!
Popular Australian YouTuber Muselk will also be in attendance at the free HSEL event, where fans will be able to meet him on the day.
AVCon begins this Friday, July 20 and will finish Sunday, July 22.
Tickets cost $40 for a single day and $60 for a weekend pass.
