AFC Esports appoints new Head of Esports

Tim Wendel appointed Head of Esports

Legacy Esports is continuing to strengthen its high-performance capability with Tim Wendel
appointed Head of Esports.

Tim is a founding partner of the organisation and has been Captain of its successful League of
Legends team which competes in the Oceanic Pro League (OPL).

The move follows the recent announcement of former Australian Rules footballer Brent Reilly
taking on the newly created role of Player Development Manager with a focus on providing
support and welfare services to players.

With the 2017 OPL season now finished, Tim will start to transition into his new role with the
support of Adelaide Football Club management which purchased Legacy Esports earlier this
year.

Adelaide Football Club Chief Operating Officer Nigel Smart says the structural change was part
of the push for continual improvement in performances both here in Australia and overseas.

“Tim has been a driving force behind Legacy’s high standards and culture for a long time and we
look forward to building on the strong foundation he has established,” Smart said.

About the change in role Tim Wendel had this to say “While I will miss playing dearly I am
ecstatic about this next stage in my career. I have always been passionate about seeing Legacy
succeed and this is just another expression of that.”

Due to Tim’s long term as Captain and Jungler, replacing him will be difficult;
however, Legacy’s Performance Team are confident they will be able to
overcome this challenge in time for the 2018 Oceanic Pro League Season.

Tim officially starts in the role on 19th September.
